This weekend, I received my proof copy of MarketingYourself in the mail. Here's my Unboxing Video:
It's very fulfilling to hold your own book in your own hands. I've been working on this book for five years, and I'm glad it's done!
The π launch party π is on Friday! My time, 1030 am. Might be 830 am your time, if you are in Australia. If you're in Pacific time, it's Thursday at 330 pm, or 630pm Eastern time.
I will need you to RSVP if you want to attend. Half the registrations are already gone. Here's what we will be doing during the Launch Party:
- Interactive Zoom game openings (because I believe in earning attention in virtual meetings)
- Show & Tell - any authors in attendance will share their own books
- I'll share the 2 previous covers, and ask for candid feedback on what people liked and disliked about each one
- We will play a game using the 4 Cornerstones and the 4 levels of platforms
- I'll ask some survey questions about marketing yourself and everyone will answer in a Chat Waterfall
- I'll share some stories from the publishing process, and how the typography accidentally got the Launch Team copies out on time
- Special guest speakers give us a few minutes of inspiration
- Anyone present who gave an endorsement gets a round of applause and big, big thanks
- I'll share the Media Kit and demonstrate how to use it to post on #MarketingYourselfBook
- We will all make a post on the social media account of our choice
- We'll visit to the Amazon and Goodreads pages together, so you're all ready for leaving a review on Launch Day
- Finally, we will take a photo of the Zoom grid and post it on the hashtag and tag everybody
